  • Carbohydrates make you hungrier, I eat every 4 hours that way my blood sugar isn’t spiking constantly. No potatoes, no rice, no flour. Low carb for 3 months will help you get back to your recommended weight !

  • Danielle Walker has cookbook with no grains. It is designed for people who have autoimmune and avoid the inflammation from their diet. It wotks for me. I have to do an AIP diet since I was diagnosed with lyme disease. It took 2 and half years to figure out what was wrong with me. Diet is very important. Danielle Walker's stuff is delicious. I make her bread recipe weekly. Ashwagandha helps with mental clarity. Good luck with your journey. Health is so important!

  • try putting friends or a movie on while you go on the treadmill it helps to distract, i do the exercise bike and i’ll scroll through tik tok or watch friends and before i know it i’m done i also have worked up my endurance doing 15 minutes till it’s easy upping it just 5 minutes when it’s truly easy and i’m at 30 minutes rn goal is to get to an hour without pain slow steady progress

  • Hey Jac! I’ve been a silent supporter of yours for years now but that’s besides the point lol. Have you ever tried a parasite cleanse? I have similar digestive issues where i either eat a shit ton and gain no wait or the opposite and i found that the reason for that (atleast in my case) was due to the build of parasites in my gut from eating so many carbs, gluten, dairy, candy, processed foods etc. My reason for asking you if you’ve tried a cleanse is because of your weight gain struggles it may be hard for you to lose it even when you feel you’ve done everything right. You may honestly just have some build up that could use some cleansing & possibly see the results you’ve been hoping for. I’m not to sure if this makes sense but if you’d like to know more or are interested in the one i’ve tried, i’ll be happy to share :) Love you girl, you’re getting better don’t be so hard on yourself <3

  • You might consider reading The F*ck It Diet by Caroline Dooner; it will explain a lot about the yo-yo between commitments to what you’ll eat and why that goes out the window so quickly.

  • I literally haven’t seen her in years and like wow. I gained 50 lbs in the last year too but my weight isn’t in my face it’s in my but and thighs her bottom half looks fine. I totally feel everything she’s going through. Weight gain SUCKS.

  • I wanna definitely follow this journey w/ you! I’m 155 now and use to be 127 only a 4 years ago, I also felt GOOD and healthy at that weight. It makes me genuinely upset b/c I always feel tired, eating well consistently is very difficult especially when you’re within the health field and taking 7 classes. I definitely don’t wanna get discouraged though! This should be a good process.

  • Oh Jac 😞 I lost 178lbs but it was a JOURNEY let me tell you. Please don't give up. It's not easy but it is so, so, SO worth it!! Go easy on yourself about the exercise portion. Weight loss is 70% food choices and 30% exercise. You're doing just fine. ♥️

  • So excited for your journey Jaclyn! I decided last year to get healthy. I joined WW and lost 25 lbs but gave up. I was changing too much too fast that it was hard to keep it up. This time I'm still eating what I love but in moderation. The weight isn't coming off as fast but I think this will transition into a realistic lifestyle change for me. I'm currently in the process of ending a 15 yr toxic relationship and then I can really focus on me and my kids. I need to lose 100 lbs (at least). We got this girl!!! Let's do it!!!

  • This is actually perfect timing when you posted this because I’ve been dieting and exercising since the 16th. I’m not overweight but I’m trying to tone my body in areas that need it a lot. I haven’t liked my body for 6 years and after thousands of attempts to lose a little weight and tone myself I have never stuck with it for over a week at a time. But now, it’s been about 10 days and I’ve been exercising and eating less and healthier and let me say now I’ve gotten into the habit of not eating junk all day! What I’ve learned about this whole thing is when you have a bad day eating junk, don’t quit on the diet all together. Just pick up from where you left off the next day and try exercising and drinking a lot of water again. I’m starting to see slight changes and I’m so glad I am FINALLY going to achieve my goal!   • You got this Jaclyn! I started my own weight loss and just general health feeling better Journey myself this past March. I started at my most unhealthy, laziest, and heaviest weight I have ever been. It took a few weeks to even be able to actually exercise a reasonable amount of time. Putting in the work and sticking with it is so worth it though. I'm down 30 pounds so far ( Still over weight but hey it's something haha). Keeping doing what you're able to do. Having bad days with a diet is ok. It's ok to rest. It's ok to have a treat. I still have a ways to go but trying to stay positive. You can do this! If I could do it anyone can. I'm the laziest person I know haha <3

  • Eating more protein helps me to reduce snacking. For example i eat 3 eggs and veggies (no bread) for breakfast

  • Walk for an hour at night before bed, and in the a.m...eat less not always clean, but clean is great. More water More walking...I use to believe I had to eat a certain way to lose weight, but nope. I used to fast but now I don't eat unless I'm hungry...You will be fine!

  • I wish we could switch for a few months! I struggle so hard to gain weight (Crohn’s), i eat healthy but not enough because i am never hungry and get sick or in pain when i eat a lot. I have a high energy Staffie so he makes me work out 2 hours a day lol. I see your struggling just like me. I wish you the best and hope you’ll find a healthy routine that works!     • dr greger is amazing and helped my older parents lose weight and correct their cholesterol levels and t2 diabetes

  • Your trying to do too much all at once. Even a 15/20 minute workout daily will reap huge benefits. Start with ten? Everyone can find ten minutes and over a year that's 90 hours of exercise Think about intermittent fasting. The 5'2 plan is ideal by Dr Michael Moseley. You have 500kcals twice a week and on the non fast days just eat sensibly. No need to calorie count. On the days you don't fast you don't even wake up ravenously hungry. Although you may worry you will. I tend to now not have my first meal of the day till 12 noon. And I don't eat after 8pm. Its second nature. But maybe start with daily but very realistic exercise goals. You don't need 30 mins or more a day to see results. Do the 5'2 plan. You will lose weight and you will also generally be healthier as the body receives numerous benefits from intermittent fasting. It just feels like you need to slow to another pace and just know you will see the weight come off
